A supermoon according to wikipedia is the coincidence of a full moon or a new moon with the closest approach the Moon makes to the Earth on its elliptical orbit, resulting in the largest apparent size of the lunar disk as seen from Earth.
On Monday the 14th of Nov 2016, as darkness fell around the world, most of us saw the closest supermoon since 1948(68years). For those of us younger than 68, we’ve never witnessed this super moon and we were more than happy to have experienced this. If you weren’t able to checkout the supermoon, then see below pictures of it. The next time the moon will come this close to Earth again will be Nov 25, 2034.
